Cliff Edwards

Born: 14 June 1895, Hannibal, Missouri, USA
Died: 17 July 1971, Los Angeles, California, USA

A popular singer and ukulele player under the name Ukukele Ike, who entered vaudeville and eventually films. He was the first to perform on film the song 'Singing in the Rain' in 'The Hollywood Revue of 1929 (1929)'. He is best remembered for providing the voice of Jiminy Cricket in Pinocchio (1940) and Jim Crow in 'Dumbo (1941)'.
