Harley Wood

Born: 25 August 1913, Independence, Missouri, USA
Died: 2 April 1995, Honoka'a, Hawaii, USA

Harley Wood was a radio actress before entering films in 1934. Wood was born Evelyn Merchant, her mother died when she was three and she was fostered. She also appeared in films under the names Jill Martin and Harlene Wood. Later in her career, Wood started to write songs with her second husband Sy Miller. Under the name Jill Jackson Miller she wrote the lyrics to their most famous song 'Let There Be Peace On Earth'.
